Luca Bonamore’s new choreography Silent Lovers, presented at the Schauspielhaus as part of ImPulsTanz, blends the aesthetics of the queer cruising scene with surprising softness. Between gags, long wigs, and exposed bodies, a wordless yet poetic evening unfolds, where Bonamore – also performing on stage – deliberately deconstructs clichés. What begins as an anonymous, dark start gradually transforms into a dance of gentle proximity, reflected in a careful pas de deux to Schubert’s Winterreise. Symbolic imagery – from horse associations to the butt plug – meets a choreography that revolves more around connection than force. As both a musician and dancer, I contributed to the atmosphere with my voice and at the piano. In the end, there’s no shock, but rather a collective rave as catharsis.

My choreography Mascul1n1t1es! on the theme of masculinity was performed on the final evening of the bachelor's course in contemporary dance pedagogy at the MUK.theatre. The choreography revolved around the demands of masculinity, which are often unconsciously internalised. "Don't show your feelings", for example, stands for the fact that masculine socialised people often have no access to their feelings. Danced by Sebastian Schmidt and Michael Voith, music by Andreas Schmid, ceramic objects: Florian Schinnerl.
